Q1 2026 brought a strong slate of new capabilities to the HIA platform — all built to make your team’s day-to-day work faster, more accurate, and easier to manage. This quarter’s highlights include a brand new daily report monitor dashboard that puts monitoring and troubleshooting in your hands, enriched PMS integrations for HotelKey and Stay PMS, expanded payroll data from Inova, and a number of platform-wide improvements to security, budgeting, and financial data import. Here is the full rundown:
New Features
New Daily Report Monitor Dashboard
This new dashboard has been deployed to all production environments to help customers monitor their property’s daily reporting activity. Users can quickly see the date of the latest daily entry from each property, identify any missing entries, and review the status and variances of entries over the last 30 days.
This self-service tool makes it easy for users to troubleshoot any daily report issues independently — missing daily entries are clearly indicated, and any variances are immediately visible. To access the dashboard, search “daily monitor” in the search box, or navigate to Dashboards and select “Daily Monitor.”
Enhanced Existing Integrations
Enhanced BankConnect
General enhancements have been made to the BankConnect tool to address bank transaction import authentication challenges. This update is currently being rolled out across all instances and should be available to all users by the end of May.
Enhanced Inova Payroll Integration
The existing API integration with Inova has been enhanced to retrieve additional payroll and timeclock information. The payroll connector now retrieves calculated time data, providing a time clock entry of each employee’s activities — including date and total time — for a given date range.
Enhanced HotelKey PMS Integration
As more customers transition to HotelKey PMS, our team has identified additional data parameters to include in the report import. New additions include the import of both “adjusted” and “net today” data, as well as improvements to the import parsing logic. We are pleased to offer this enriched reporting to customers making the transition.
Enhanced Stay PMS Integration
As more Marriott-branded hotels transition to Stay PMS, HIA has further enhanced the integration to support a scenario where dates in the market segment file differ from those in the zip file. This adjustment ensures all data flows correctly even when file formats vary.
Platform Enhancements
Increased Single Sign-On Adoption
More customers are requesting that their instances be configured to work with Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On and Active Directory. Active Directory is a Microsoft product that enables directory-based authentication and communication, and provides centralized user deactivation across all connected platforms — including the ERP — for greater security and corporate oversight. HIA is happy to support this growing demand.
Enhanced Historical Data Import Tool
HIA’s industry-leading financial history import tool, which reads data down to the GL level, has been further improved to support the newest QuickBooks format. The import tool already accommodates data from a wide range of accounting providers and ERPs, and this latest enhancement expands that coverage.
The QuickBooks update allows for greater detail in the Transaction Activity report by handling debits and credits as separate columns. It also improves sub-account management by making sub-accounts user-defined, providing a deeper level of detail during the import process.
Enhanced AP Security
The accounts payable module received an enhancement to AP edit detail to further strengthen data security.
Enhanced Daily Budgeting
HIA’s budgeting capabilities have been enriched to better support daily-level budget management. The new Daily Budgeting page offers a more streamlined experience for importing daily amounts and creating new accounts when they do not already exist in the budget module.
Users can now build their daily budgets in Excel and use the Velixo integration to push those budgets directly into the system. This feature is currently being rolled out and will be fully deployed by the end of May.
Looking Ahead
HIA’s next major upgrade is planned for summer 2026, and there is a lot to look forward to. Users can expect the launch of several new AI capabilities, including an in-system AI assistant that can answer natural-language data queries, the ability to enter AI prompts to simplify module workflows, and an AI customer support chat agent in the support portal. We look forward to sharing more detail on these new features as we get closer to the date. For more on HIA’s commitment to continual innovation, check out our summary of 2025 software enhancements.
