HIA Launches 4 AI Features Built Natively into its Hospitality ERP

New AI-powered capabilities help hospitality teams work smarter, move faster, and gain deeper operational visibility.

HIA, the company behind the hospitality industry’s only purpose-built Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting platform, announced today the launch of four new AI-powered capabilities— AI Assistant, Anomaly Detection, AI Agent Studio, and PMS Mapping AI — embedded natively into HIA’s platform. The capabilities shift hospitality finance from manual reconciliation and periodic reporting to continuous visibility and intelligent automation.

“We built HIA as a single hospitality database from day one — one chart of accounts, one vendor structure, one source of truth across the portfolio,” said Charlie Fritsch, CEO and Founder of HIA. “That foundation is what makes native AI capabilities so powerful. When the data underneath is unified, AI doesn’t just give finance teams faster answers — it gives them answers they can trust and act on, in seconds instead of days.”

Four capabilities, one platform

  • AI Assistant — A conversational interface that enables users to query live ERP data in natural language, providing immediate answers and insights across bills, vendors, and expenses, and other financial information.
  • Anomaly Detection — Automatically identifies unusual transactions and outliers within financial data, helping teams proactively monitor performance and strengthen internal controls.
  • AI Agent Studio — A no-code prompt environment allowing users to create customized AI-driven workflows and automations using their preferred LLM connector.
  • PMS Mapping AI — Accelerate property onboarding by using AI-driven recommendations to map the chart of accounts, reducing implementation timelines.

What separates HIA’s approach from standalone or bolted-on AI offerings is architecture: every capability runs on the same live hospitality database, inherits the same security framework, and respects the same user permission structure as the rest of the system.

That architectural choice is what makes the productivity gains real. The new capabilities address the most time-consuming workflows in hospitality accounting, from portfolio-level performance analysis and expense management to operational benchmarking, audit controls, and property onboarding. A controller can identify variances and unusual transactions more quickly, an operations leader can evaluate portfolio performance without building custom reports, and implementation teams can significantly reduce onboarding time for new properties.

“Hoteliers are under constant pressure to do more with less,” added Fritsch. “Our goal is to provide technology that not only saves time but also helps teams uncover insights, identify opportunities, and make better decisions every day. That only works when AI is part of the system itself — not a layer on top of it.”
