At HIA we are continually innovating to keep our customers at the forefront of hospitality technology. We are excited to share some of the newest features built by our in-house product development team in Q2 2025. These features include a new timely integration, enhanced existing integrations, and general system enhancements to functionality and security.
While HIA has had a HotelKey integration for some time, this new version specifically supports IHG users as IHG Hotels & Resorts transitions from Oracle’s Opera PMS to HotelKey for all their limited-service brands in the US and Canada. HIA is happy to have this timely integration in place to support this major initiative and our customers.
About HotelKey – HotelKey is a cutting-edge cloud based PMS platform with more than 18,000 contracted hotels and 9,000 live. Customers include 7 hotel chains and 800+ independent properties. It serves brands such as Hilton, IHG, Red Roof, Motel 6, Extended Stay America, LivAway Suites, and more.
HIA upgraded security protocols for the MX financial data platform that supports our Bank Connect live banking services. This platform connects live banking information to HIA from 13,000+ financial institutions. This MX platform upgrade provides an additional layer of protection for users and ensures compliance with the latest PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) requirements.
A new feature was built for HIA’s payroll integrations to improve the management of inactive employees in the system. The new capability automatically cross-checks the employee information available in the system against the newest results from the payroll API integration to determine whether that employee is currently active or not. Employees without recent activity will then be automatically flagged by the system and identified as “inactive” for easier management.
This new upgrade provides enhanced security with more granular access rights. A new set of user-roles was designed with granular access rights to pages within the following modules: Daily Report, Bank Connect, Business Intelligence, and Payroll. The roll-out of the new user security roles is ongoing and continues into early Q3.
This enhancement to the Daily Report and Daily Entry With Budget Report make them look cleaner and more streamlined when printing.
HIA’s award-winning development team is hard at work planning future updates to our hospitality ERP & Accounting platform.
The next major upgrade planned for fall 2025 will be especially exciting, featuring a new modern user interface aimed at making the HIA platform even more user friendly. Features will include a more modern look and feel, improved responsiveness to different screen sizes, and more streamlined page navigation.
